A secondary school which has been awarded £100,000 in pupil’s premium awards in recognition for the work they have done to improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils.

Handsworth Grange community Sports College was the national finalist in the secondary school category and was amongst four other schools in the region to win this prize.

Broadcast journalist Mushtaq Tufail visited the school and spoke to the Head teacher Anne Quaile about this achievement .
